20 Interesting Facts About Pixar Movies
I really want to learn and tell people new things about Pixar. I made a research on the net and found very interesting facts about our favourite animation studio Pixar. Let's see what I found. :O
1- Pixar's first animated short was The Adventures of Andre and Wally B. and it was produced in 1984.
2-Woody's facial features are based on a Casper The Friendly Ghost doll that John Lasseter had as a kid.
3-I told you about Woody's facial features. Now let's talk about Buzz Lightyear's.Buzz Lightyear's facial features are based after John Lasseter.
4-All movies have some rejected titles. Toy Story's were The New Toy,The Favorite,Toyz in the hood.
Oh my God. The last one made me laugh a lot.Toyz in the hood. It sounds pretty weird and funny. LOL. xD
5-The ideas for A bug's life,Monsters Inc.,Finding Nemo and Wall-E came out on a...NAPKIN.
6-For those people who wonder what is ''A113''. A113 is an easter egg we can find in all Pixar movies. A113 is a classroom in California Institute of Arts which many animation students made their studies. John Lasseter or Brad Bird for example.
7-Toy Story 2 was almost deleted from Pixar's database. This is a fact i learned from Ed Catmull's Creativity Inc. ;)
8-Finding Nemo is the best-selling DVD of all time. There were 40 million copies of this movie sold worldwide.
9-The Incredibles was the first Pixar movie recieved PG rating.
10-Cars is the most profitable Pixar movie. It generated MORE THAN 10 BILLION dollars just with the merchandise sales. Thanks to children like me when Cars first came out. xD
11-Wall-E stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter - Earthclass.
12-Wall-E was named after Walt Disney. Walter Elias Disney.
13-I said A113 a couple of times ago.Let's go back to A113 for a while. Wall-E's name is an easter egg to A113 too. Just spell it WA11-3 :D You got it ?

14-Pixar created a fake BnL website and fake BnL commercials to promote Wall-E in an interesting way.

15-Let's talk about Wall-E's storyboard frames. An average Pixar movie requiers around 75,000 storyboard frames,but Wall-E left the record away with the amazing 125,000 STORYBOARD FRAMES.

17-Pixar created an old 80's Lots-o'-huggin' bear commercial to promote Toy Story 3 just like they did with Wall-E.
