5 Facts For Every Pixar Movie
Hey ! I'm doing a post about facts again,but now a little bit different. Today I'm doing 5 facts about each Pixar Movie. Let's go !
TOY STORY
1- Buzz Lightyear's original name was 'Tempest',but as you see, Pixar changed it before the movie's release. Let's be honest, Buzz Lightyear fits him better.
2- Another fact about Buzz Lightyear ; His chlothes (His spacesuit) were designed red.
3- Woody was going to be the villain. Can you believe it !? He is one of the friendliest Pixar characters. Even if he was jealous of Buzz. LOL. xD
4- To create the toy soldiers' movements,they attached their shoes to wooden boards and walked with them. Weird,huh ?
5- Toy Story was the highest grossing movie of 1995.
A BUG'S LIFE
1- A Bug's Life is the first Pixar movie that doesn't contain humans.
2- It's the first Pixar film to have outtakes.
3- Lee Unkrich revealed that they originally were gonna name the film 'Bug Story',but since they released Toy Story,they didn't want to people think that their every movies' titles are gonna end with the word 'Story'.
4- Randy Newman reused some music from Disney's James And The Giant Peach movie.
5- A bug's life is the only Pixar feature film that was released outside Toy Story series.
MONSTERS INC.
1- Sulley has more than 2,3 strands of hair.
2- Boo's real name is Mary. Just like her voice actor. Mary Gibbs.
3- Bob Peterson voiced Roz. He also voiced Dug from Up in 2009.
4- Randy Newman won his first Oscar with the movie's ending theme 'If I didn't have you'.
5- Mike Wazowski has cameos in Finding Nemo,Cars,Wall-E and Toy Story 3. I noticed his cameo only in Wall-E. LOL.
FINDING NEMO
1- Marlin was a very very protective parent because the movie's director Andrew Stanton was a very very protective parent.
2- Darla was named after the producer of Monsters Inc.,Darla Anderson.
3- You can notice a Mr. Incredible easter egg in Dr. Sherman's office.
4- Luigi from Cars drives past from Dr. Sherman's office.
5- Dory says Nemo's name CORRECTLY only 7 times in the movie.
THE INCREDIBLES
1- Brad Bird (The director of the film) voiced Edna Mode.
2- The superpowers of the characters are based on their personalities.
3- The Incredibles is the first Pixar movie used humans as main characters.
4- Jack-Jack is nicknamed after one of Brad Bird's sons.
5- The animators at Pixar modeled Syndrome after Brad Bird.
CARS
1- The jet contrails in the air are actually tire marks.
2- Mater is a 1955 Chevrolet Stepside tow truck.
3- The movie sold five million copies when it was released on DVD.
4- The walking robots Lightning McQueen attacks in his first daydream in the movie are walking car spark plugs.
5- Lightning McQueen is named after Glenn McQueen, an animator at Pixar died in 2002.
RATATOUILLE
1- Bomb Voyage from The Incredibles makes 2 appearances in Ratatouille
2- Gusteau's first and last name ar anagrams of each other.
3- Linguini's apartment is located in Montmartre section of Paris.
4- Remy has 1,15 million rendered hair.
5- There is a Remy easter egg in WALL-E. Computer mouses named REM-E.
WALL-E
1- There are many easter eggs in WALL-E. Hamm and Rex from Toy Story or Mike Wazowski for example.
2- The bra that WALL-E puts on his eyes was pretty similar to a one with copyrighted design,so Pixar changed it's design before the movie release. Pretty odd,right ?
3- WALL-E stands for Waste Allocation Load Lifter Earthclass,EVE stands for Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator and M-O stands for Microbe Obliterator.
4- As I told you EVE stands for Extra-terrestrial Vegetation Evaluator,but EVE's name got some other different meanings. She was named after Eve,the first woman on Earth. and she is named EVE,because the word 'life' is another meaning to Eve. That's exactly why she was invented. To search for a sign of life. Interesting, isn't it ?
5- The concept for WALL-E dates back to Pixar's beginnings. Even before Toy Story was in production. They left the idea away for years. When Finding Nemo came out,the director Andrew Stanton was supposed to write a sequel for Finding Nemo,but one day he was listening to the soundtrack of Star Trek and he got inspired. This was how the movie WALL-E came into our lives.
Bonus : The rejected titles for WALL-E were 'Trash planet' and 'Out there'.
UP
1- Paradise Falls is based on Angel Falls in Venezuela.
2- There are 10,297 balloons lifting Carl's house.
3- A boy named Russel Jang was the inspiration for Russel.
4- Walt Disney was the inspiration for Charles Muntz.
5- Pete Docter's (Film's director) daughter is the inspiration for Ellie. By the way, she voices her.
BRAVE
1- The movie's animators had to learn the chorepgraphy for the fight scenes personally.
2- Merida is five feet four inches tall.
3- Brave is the first Pixar film set in the historic past.
4- The original title of Brave was 'The bear and the bow'.
5- Brave is the first Pixar movie having a female protagonist.
Bonus : Merida is the only Disney Princess Pixar character.
INSIDE OUT
1- 45 animators worked on this movie. The average number is 90.
2- When Richard Kind was voicing Bing Bong,he was actually crying when Bing Bong said 'Take Riley to the moon for me' to Joy.
3- There are 5 emotions in the movie,but the writers originally wrote a 6th one. That was Suprise.
4- There's a Finding Nemo reference in Imagination Land.
5- In the early versions of the movie, Joy was paired with Fear instead of Sadness.
THE GOOD DINOSAUR
1- Arlo is 18 feet tall.
2- The film's visual development took 8 months.
3- In 900 shots of the film were used special effects.
4- The Good Dinosaur is the second Pixar film of 2015. Inside Out was the first.
5- The Good Dinosaur was going to be released on 11/27/2013,but Frozen took it's place.
